Command Packs
A Command Pack is a package of curated commands and runbooks: JSON only, no code, no permissions. Installed packs appear in the Runbooks sidebar under their folders with a pack badge, after your own runbooks.
- Pack items are read-only. Duplicate to my runbooks (right-click) makes an editable copy.
- Running one uses the same path as your runbooks: the values prompt for
{{variables}}(with defaults and descriptions), the run panel that shows the final commands before they run, and Command Safety on every command, with the originCommand Pack "<name>": <item>. - The risk an item declares is the author's assessment, shown as a dot and in tooltips. Command Safety checks every command on its own; a "safe" label never skips it.
- Disabling a pack hides its items; uninstalling removes them.

| Field | Rules |
|---|---|
id | Lowercase letters, digits, dashes; unique in the pack |
kind | command (one command) or runbook (steps, run one at a time) |
risk | safe (read-only), caution (changes state), dangerous |
variables | {{name}} in commands; \{{name}} stays literal (Go templates, Helm). Names without a declaration are asked for as required values (a warning). |
requires | Tools the commands need on the server, shown in tooltips |
Commands are single lines without control characters. Commands that never finish on their own (tail -f, top, watch) do not suit runbook steps.
Export your runbooks
Runbooks sidebar > Export as Command Pack (package icon): choose a name and a file. Each runbook becomes an item in a folder named after its category; one-step runbooks become commands; variables keep their descriptions and defaults; each item's risk is what Command Safety's rules say about its commands. The id is local.<name>, the publisher Local. Install the file elsewhere with Marketplace > Install from file.
